Hiyas Everyone!

Long time, no see – for that I do need to apologize. Life outside of DA (work, “family”, and more) has still been quite hectic and still has not really reached a balance… to give you (the viewer) an idea, I haven’t put pen & pencil to paper since the last journal (if not, not the journal before it)!  I’m still seeking to remedy that with setting some time aside - trying to find a “steadier” regiment for drawing, yet, I’m still trying to find the time for it.  Needless to say, I’m uncertain when I can get to some of the pieces (art trades mainly), yet, beginning to find some time here and there to doodle some pieces.  Just to catch up, all the pieces will still be done traditionally (pencil, pen, and & markers), rather than digital (since I’m very slowly getting to that)… I'm trying to break this "quasi-art-block-hiatus", and get going onto new art...

Right now, I'm forming a "to-do list", to get back on track.  With posting new stuff, the first items on my list are any art trades or such (please contact me, if I owe you an art piece – I do have a good idea to whom I owe stuff, yet want to double-check), for which I will have to refresh my list… also I’ll be needing a new DA membership, since my (to-do) list was on the DA-premium item widget...  After the art trades are done, I’ll be starting another requests/suggestions list – I will probably be a bit more selective with it, however, will still try some “new” stuff, just to break out of my “rusty” art blocks.  While my posts will be (at minimum) monthly, I will see about posting more within the month…

As a special sale/promotional deal, I will be selling all the blank cover art pieces (which remain) at half-price!   It’s first come, first serve, and still can do regular blank cover art (still have A LOT of blanks), depending on the art (still at regular price).  Along with that sale, some of my older pieces will also be for sale (nothing with 3M/3K, and a few personal pieces), yet, note me on whichever pieces you’d be interested in.

Well, that’s all I go – I’m hoping to turn around my art a bit more and make (steady) time for it, for I’ve been feeling somewhat “adrift” for a while and need to get back to work.  While I am also working on some writing (upcoming projects), as well as additional training (and schooling), there will be time made for my art.  Hopefully, with this upcoming month, things will begin to fall into place…

Thank you all for being patient, and hopefully, some new art soon!

Hiyas Peoples!

I have to apologize for the lack of updates, mainly due to "real life" has been in the way of me getting any art done. While I have been tinkering with some digital art (still bouncing back and forth between Autodesk Sketchbook & Manga Studio Pro), I have not getting much more than doodles done - which is a bit disappointing to me. Just been having a lot of work at my job, which has been dominating all my energy... while the creative energy is there to draw, the physical energy has been lacking... will have to see if I can do something about that this weekend...

While people have been offering me different programs to use to draw digitally, I still wonder which one to use. Some have mentioned Adobe Illustrator, Manga Studio, and Sketchbook (Autodesk), I'm still wondering if there is something simple to use to draw (and clean up) artwork. Maybe it's just me being impatient, since its taking me longer to draw stuff on the computer digitally (versus on paper & pencil/pen), but I'm trying to find a happy medium between the 2 - maybe draw stuff in pencil & scan in to clean up? Just wondering about people's methods for digital art...

Meanwhile, I've begun looking at getting my request list going (while it's been quiet on the commissions-front). Ultimately, I'm thinking of opening up requests again, BUT I will formally mention that. getting requests now will be ignored as I work thru my art exchanges... Still want to keep to the "monthly" update schedule (due to work), but hope to have some new pieces up soon (hopefully) - will also try to coordinate better with my Facebook page too, tho mainly will be links to here...

Anyways, just a nice update to keep you all aware of things - art is coming on the way, yet, need to figure some stuff out (as well as some personal projects too) :)

Chat with you all later!

Hiyas Everyone!

Well, All my currently back-logged art (blank covers & sketches) have been posted (along with the pricing on each - except with the sketches, which I think $25 would be a good price - via PayPal). While there's still more blank covers (which are available to be commissioned), I'm thinking about what to draw next... at the moment, I will probably start on my long-neglected list and see what can be done there, yet, we'll see how far we get. At the moment, I'd say I need to update my Facebook page (also very neglected) as well as see how to update the 3M Triplets. Currently, just trying to experiment with their hair (and perhaps their bodies) some more...

As for the new laptop, it's coming (a week from today, I hope!). While I already have the stylus, I just need the laptop itself (and don't want to bother the girlfriend to use her laptop - it's primarily her work/school laptop). So, we continue waiting... once the laptop does arrive, here will probably be some delays in art (probably still going to a monthly schedule or so, until things settle down into a good routine). Going to be aiming at more digital art, which will also adjust my prices as well for digital pieces...

***EDIT: MY LAPTOP ARRIVED TODAY!!!! Now, I just need some good software on drawing with it - I have CS3 (Photoshop) which I will be installing, but what other stuff will help with drawing as well as making comics. Thinking of Manga Studio, but want to get some input first...

I'm also looking at some artwork challenges - while some art pieces I've already managed to figure out a "method" of drawing (like stuff with conjoined/freak art, or some bondage items, or even stuff like MLP & potential furry pieces), I'm seeking something of a challenge with some drawings. Not really fully certain what I am seeking, especially art-wise, but we'll have to find out...

Hiyas Everyone!

Just wanted to drop a quick update (in case you haven't noticed a lot of the NEW art)... there is STILL MORE COMING!!! So far, only HALF of what I've done has been posted, and have been adding prices to the bottom of each art piece I post (they are blank covers, where I have rendered stuff). With stuff like the sketches, well, I'd be selling those (probably around $25 USD, with a few exceptions). Yet, there is more to come and there's still a lot of blank covers which haven't been used, too *wink wink*  In either case, I'm hoping to get more pieces going to be done as well... (all payments are thru PAYPAL, or in person)...

Hmm... should I post another batch of art, or simply wait?

As for the new laptop, it's coming (due date towards the beginning of June) - yet, of the order I placed, my pen/stylus already came! HAHAHAHA! Just thought it was funny. Once this new laptop arrives, there will probably be some delays in art (probably going to a weekly/monthly schedule until things settle down into a good routine). Going to be aiming at more digital art, which will also adjust my prices as well for digital pieces...

With the 3rd point of the title, 3M is a bit behind in the Holiday/Monthly pieces, which I hope to make some more "tweeks" to them. While the "Undercut" is a nice look with them (perhaps mainly with summer), they will probably go back to their regular 2-toned, layered hairstyles... however, I'm pondering if they should have it more like Viper (Maya) from Street Fighter IV/V (in hair style only). Their trademarked Turtleneck Sweaters (& Glasses) will still be there... on them (they are TS Mascots, after all). The only other bit I'm having an internal debate about - their body size. While I'm pondering getting them more curvy as well as a bit bigger/wider (they are already tall, namely 5'10"), I'm not completely certain on how "buff" or "curvy" to have them... let's hear some people's opinions on it...

Well, onwards to more art posting/prep...

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!

Well, as the title reads, I have a potential laptop in view (finally have money saved up for it). I'm looking at the HP Spectre 360 (15" screen) which is a touch-screen & able to be drawn on with a pen stylus (which is nice and a good runner up to the Surface tablet/book). In any case, it's a step in the positive direction, especially towards getting art back on here!

With Art, I have still be drawing stuff up (especially on blank covers), and soon will be delving back into the character-driven stuff (like the 3M triplets) as well as some of my art requests/exchanges... If anything, I should be doing a big art submission onto DA soon, featuring about 10-15 pieces (give or take). This lack of a computer to edit my art is been painful, yet, we're getting over that hump, and soon will have some regular art coming up. Currently, I'm thinking of monthly submissions of art, at least until I get more stuff back on track. Thank you for your patience, for more art will be coming soon!

Beyond that, my work has been keeping me busy (and life outside of art has been hectic as well, tho that's a story for another time). In any case, I'm looking a bit more to further improvement on myself & my work (coordinating with them - especially some classes), which will also add some more chaos into the mix, but it's a matter of moving forward on things! To give you an idea of how busy my life has been, I won't even be able to do Free Comics Day (got an event on that day) and hopefully will be able to see the new Marvel Movie (Captain America: Civil War). Anyways, still doodling other stuff, and hopefully will have more to show :)

Until next time (and hopefully soon), thank you for viewing, fav'ing, and your patience on all this!

Hiyas Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts - I've been more immersed in work than ever, which just seems to be playing "catch-up" on other things (like bills, art pieces, among other things). I'm posting that I'm still alive & kicking (still drawing, too)...

COMPUTER STATUS

Well, with a lack of commissions, its been a bit rough on getting a new laptop (thus scanning & editing pieces), so, I'm trying to save up money while doing my regular work. Quite a bit slower in getting the money going towards it, I'm still working & getting pieces done. Mainly, I've been trying to work on a big piece, as well as blank covers (taking photos of it all), thus I can edit & post them at a later date, namely, once I get a computer. It's slow going, but it's going... Until a suitable alternative to doing the editing/tweeking can be done, we'll all have to be patient...

ART UPDATE

With art, there's actually quite a lot of pieces that have been done - both sketches & blank covers - which await some photo-editing. So far, there just hasn't been a good way to post them. While I do check both Deviantart (DA) & Facebook (FB) (my art page on there) via my cellphone, I can't do the proper editing & tweeking that I'd like to do on that device. Would just look cheesy... So, I'm waiting it out, until I can get a computer, and solve this art dilemma. While I can always take a photo of the finished stuff and send it out (available upon request), but the "finishing touches" can't be applied, thus a bit so-so on the quality. Again, at a later time, all these pieces will be edited/tweeked and posted...

OTHER

Beyond that, I'm still around - checking DA/FB for artwork, setting up more pieces to work on, while still doing commission pieces (both on blank covers and regular ones). I think, upon my getting a new computer, I will probably open up art requests a bit more (commissions are always open), and keep going forward. Also thinking of just keeping a bit more of a relaxed pace with things, until this technological setback is fixed...

Anyways, will chat with you all later, and hope to have new stuff up soon!!

Thanks for the patience!

Hiyas Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving & the beginning of the Holidays - I guess "Season's Greetings" are in order...

RIP LAPTOP

Sorry about the delay of artwork - my laptop died on me, thus a bit hard to post new artwork. With any artwork I post, I want to make sure to add a few tweeks/edits on it, making sure it's how i want it. A lot of the time, just taking a photo will do, but a lot of the time, there's always some issue with the photo... Once I get a new laptop, I'll be full-steam ahead on posting art... any commissions at this point (via Paypal) would be geared towards that.

BC ART

BC (Blank Cover) Art, as well as other art, is still in full swing (been doing 1-2 of them weekly), for which there are still plenty of blank covers - even a few rare ones (like DKIII). In any case, add a comment (for suggestions) or note me (if you want a blank-cover commission or just regular commission). Things are still moving forward, even if technology isn't!

PATIENCE

Please bare with me on this, for while I can check DA and other media, its hard to post more than comments or such - posted artwork needs some love (via some edits & tweeks), and hopefully, that will be back on track soon! Thanks!

Thanks for stopping by & viewing :)

MORE BLANK COVERS

Well, with the help of a good friend of mine, Paul of the Spider's Web (in Yonkers, NY), I've been getting more and more BLANK covers to draw on, like G.I.Joe : New World Order and Atomic Robo (and even have a few more My Little Pony Covers), for which more Star-Wars-oriented items are coming up! With this rough patch, I'm being a bit more focused on trying to get more SW like pieces out, as well as drum up more commissions (and other ideas, which will lead to even more commissions). Needless to say, commissions are open and available!

Blank Covers List:

3 Spider Gwen
2 New Avengers
3 Doctor Mirage
1 G.I.Joe Cobra World Order
1 Conan & Red Sonja
1 Amazing Spiderman
3 My Little Pony
4 Batgirl
1 Detective Comics
2 Flash
1 Teen Titans
2 Star Wars: Shattered Empire
1 Invincible Iron Man
1 Atomic Robo
1 Jem & the Holograms
1 Dr. Strange

*NOTE* I should be around at the Spider's Web, doing drawings on the Halloween ComicFest! :D

MONTHLY POSTINGS

My postings are being more limited to monthly postings (rather than weekly). Since going to the comics shop (to do Friday Night Drawing), access to a scanner & printer is a bit hard to do from there (at the comics shop), so, usually I let them collect a bit, and do a mass posting. That way, I manage to even go back and do some touch-ups on the pieces (adding minor details or a background or whatever). With that adjustment, I just have to get on track with some of my personal projects (like the 3M TS Mascot Pieces), and other items, to get them rolling as well...

FACEBOOK

I think its time to re-organize my Facebook page, which features my art - it will NOT be solely Identical (female) Multiples in Turtleneck-Sweaters, but will showcase more of my regular art , tho the triplets (and similar art) will still be the main staple of my art/niche. With this shift, it will allow a bit more of my regular out to come out into the main viewing (rather than just DA), and hopefully, have more viewership... ;)

Until next time!

Hiyas Peoples!

I'm back!! After a week's hiatus (for my birthday week), I'm back, yet, still a bit tired (it was a loooong trip, and rain doesn't help)

TRIP

For my birthday week (and a few extra days), I went from NY to Cassopolis, MI (traveling thru OH, PA, and IN), where I relaxed for a day by the lake on an island, then traveled to Copper Harbor, MI. I was aiming to hike Isle Royale Park, tho sadly, it was poorly timed & poor weather (rain!). I hiked locally, and enjoyed some of the nice locals (especially at the local bar) and then traveled towards Duluth, MN, in the hopes of getting another chance at hiking. No Dice! It had storm clouds looming over the park, so, I drove to Minneapolis, MN, where I did an indoor "hike" at the Mall of America! 3 hours later, I watched the movie Sinister 2 (not bad, tho helps explain a bit more). From there another long drive to Spring Green, WI, where I was some quick hike at the local park and visited Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, as well as saw his first project (a family church) and his last project (the visitor center)! From there, I drove around Madison, WI and ended up at the Leinenkugel's brewery (Chippewa Falls, WI), before heading to meet up with my pal, Tex (Mark Texeira) at Wizard World Chicago! Getting in and wandering around, I met up with a lot of artists I haven't see in ages! Sunday evening we left for home, going all the way back to NY (from IL to IN to OH to PA to NY). PA & IN seemed like driving forever.... tho needless to say, I'm back and digging into art again :)

PLANS

With this long trip, I did have some time to think - especially of the future, and my work, and other projects, which leads me back to school to get a certification, as well as some choices about work (and even living space). While school will be a priority, art will still be in the wings, art will always be there to relax and strive for more fun, especially the web-comic idea is still going forward. Just some decisions that may slow down the art temporarily, but will ultimately improve a lot of things ;)

ART HANG-OUT

Next Friday, I will be at the Spider's Web with several artists & other people, just there to draw and hang-out. While there, I probably won't be able to post much art, but will get some of it done there! If anything, I will get some sketches done there (some that I would do for some of the artists at the WW Chicago, as well as a few others). It will be quite a nice diversity of characters (more geared towards comics) but hope to have a nice variety for people to enjoy! Even got a commission in the works, tho that's a bit of a hush-hush bit :P

Anyways, that's all for me, folks, and thanks for reading/fav'ing/viewing!

Here's some new art pieces up, with some preliminary items too!

AUGUST NEWS

With August finally here, its the month of MY birth, which also means a week's vacation (my birthday week hiatus - I think you all can guess that one, especially after reading the DA thing below) from everything & everyone - a road trip somewhere (dunno where yet, tho probably West...), while letting everything go for a short while. Why does "Let It Go" (from Frozen) come to mind? Anyways, it's some quality ME-time, and we'll see what mis-adventure comes of it... meanwhile, enjoy the art - I do have the August 3M piece, as well as 2 major art pieces (an art exchange & a fan art piece).....

I'm hoping to get more writing done too (as well as get a new laptop, thus do some digital art as well) and do some hiking somewhere...

NOTE: I did see Fantastic 4 - needless to say, all the CRAPPY reviews are true, on just about EVERY level...

ART TERMS (& ART REQUESTS)

While I do take requests (and am open for Commissions), people do need to read this link for terminology and such:

Colored 3M - Kiribans - TerminologyHiyas Peoples!
Lately, I have been getting a lot of different things going my way, artistically, especially a variety of different "art requests", for which I'm somewhat "on the fence" with the pieces. While I've been needing more ideas/suggestions (especially from my viewers), the impact of my work (and real life) has been taking a toll on me, hence needing a bit more help with what art that you (the viewer) would like to see, of my usual trademarked format… An ideas I am pondering is of the 3M TS triplet-Mascots each in the same color TS (Turtleneck Sweaters - tho different types), yet, for each piece with 1 particular color choice – ex. Each of the triplets in their own brown TS (or some other color), but do the whole (main) spectrum… (probably have to poll the color selections, if this is an idea that people will like)
As for my usual format and such, My Kiriban contests continue… the 44,444 was missed (no one got that one), however, the next 3 Kiribans are: 45,000, 50,000, and 55,

With the case of "Art Requests", a person does have a chance to get some (simple) free art - usually a simple pencil doodle of a single character (like a head sketch or torso-shot); YET, when someone asks about an Art Request and gives me a detailed description of a 2-person piece (in color), including a variety of other details, that becomes FAR more than a mere Art Request - that's a commission! (in essence, strike one) However, I do manage to give a person a second chance/try - I plainly tell them, to give me a REFERENCE of the single character they might want drawn. Regardless if I know the character or not, I prefer a reference to whichever character that they might want drawn, for there might be a "particular" version they might want. Strike two happened when no reference was provided when telling me of a character, which immediate was followed by strike three, when I declined to do the piece. Clearly, not listening/reading to ALL the parts of a conversation means to me, I'm not respected, thus do not need to further such a request...

Just an FYI for other people who want Art Requests (and "you only get one [chance]...")

Anyways, that's it for now - things have been slowly getting better with July being over (and things/troubles pertaining to that month, and a bit prior to it)...

Have a happy & wonderful August, and until we chat again (hopefully next week)

Hiyas Peoples!

July, as usual, has been a pain in the @$$ - it starts with a car issue, followed by some other work & other stuff, which only managed to make things worse, yet, I didn't buckle under the pressure and moved on thru it! With new art work and such, I've been re-working some ideas in my head (especially my web comic idea) and trying to move forward, while pondering some life choices... thus, the delays...

3M NEW LOOK???

Having been inspired by the comic Prez (drawn by Ben Caldwell - DC Comics) and the protagonist - Beth Ross. Looking at her hairstyle & design, I figured this could be a nice look for the 3M TS Mascot Triplets - at least as a "Summer Hairstyle", or perhaps more...   Furthermore, examining my triplets, I wanted them to be a bit more unique, and begun a bit of "tweeking" to them, to make them stand out a bit more. With the issue of body-shaming and similar topics, my 3M girls fit the bill - they are tall (5'11"), curvy (tho will be curvier), and smart - a formidable triad with quite a variety of powers to boot! In a lot of ways, I think they'd be a good example of a group of people with a rough upbringing and overcoming it, while also displaying so much more. I've just begun this process of revamping them, and I think I'm on the right path here...

BOSTON CON

Having been away at Connecticon & Otakon, I'm unable to attend the Boston Comic Con - I just have too much going on here (especially with my car issues). While I do plan on going on vacation (for a week, on my "birthday week" - a hiatus time) and attending the Baltimore Comic Con (fingers-crossed), I am looking (nowadays) towards more Comic Conventions. I feel like I've out-grown the Anime scene to a large degree, and my art doesn't really blend in too well with that show... yet, still want to meet up with my friends down in the Baltimore area to draw a lot more! Only other show I hope to attend sometime, would be the NY Comic Con... tho we'll see on that...

TRAGEDY

A friend of my family has passed away in his sleep, luckily peacefully. While the weather prevented my attendance (as well as my parents and the rest of my family) of his wake, we all offer our sincerest condolences, for he will be missed. R.I.P. Ted.

Otherwise, we're out of JULY (the BLACK month) and into my favorite month of AUGUST!!! (the 3M July piece is in the works, tho delayed...)

Thanks for reading / fav'ing / visiting, and hope you'll be back again!

TEX SIGNING

My Artist-friend & Pal, Mark Texeira (aka Tex) is doing a signing at Spider's Web in Yonkers from 12 noon to 4 pm. Come on down and get some artwork & books signed, as well as enjoy the festivities!

The address: The Spider's Web, 887A Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, New York 10704
The time: 12 noon to 4 pm

3M JULY

I have the 3M TS Mascot Triplets piece worked out in my head (as well as the next few months), yet, need a good span of time to draw them up. Hopefully, these girls will get some more exposure with the monthly holidays & events (on a more regular schedule), once things cool down around here (some stuff with my car, work, and other bits have been stressful, thus, need to get them worked out. While working that stuff out, I hope to get new pieces in...

CONVENTIONS

Having just posted (sketch card) artwork from Connecticon (Hartford, CT) this year, I'm hoping to add some more conventions to the list (as well as some more convention-related artwork). Currently, the next 2 conventions I have in mind are Otakon (July 24-26) and Boston Comic Con (July 31 - August 2) - I will be in attendance (tho mainly walking around). Outside of that, we'll have see what other conventions I might be going to (tho do have my usual birthday-week vacation coming up in August, hence my week hiatus).

Otherwise, we'll have to see what else comes up.....

MORE DOODLES

As I am working on 2 more 3M TS Mascot Triplets pieces (namely, June & the delayed March), I am posting some more doodles of stuff from various different sources, like TV & comics. With the current "reboots" of BOTH Marvel & DC Comics, it does allow one to contemplate different "designs" of some of the characters out there, from either of the universe(s) of either company. While DC's reboot just seems like "just another reboot" (4th reboot), it hopefully will open up some "alternate dimension" themed stuff (hit-or-miss when it comes to their previous stories, with the exception of their "Elseworld" one-shots). With Marvel's "reboot", it sees like a similar premise as DC's reboot (opening up new dimensions), yet, all on the same plane/planet/place - it seems somewhat confusing, but some of their "potential" hits do see intriguing, like X-Men '92 & Inferno... yet, with either reboot, I'm sort of skeptical, but will continue some more doodles until my major pieces (3M and other TS-ed multiples) are done & ready...

EXPLORATION

Right now, with a lot of things, I'm pondering several things, especially my next vacation place (for my birthday), and scoping out new places to visit. While my exploration might be in-country, I'm potentially thinking of another road trip (maybe meet up with more artists again), but I don't know yet. I know i want to travel more, especially more into Europe (possibly Iceland in the Fall), but it's something I'm also considering... among other things... I've also been seeking more writing help and been trying to flesh out more of my comics ideas, into a cohesive story that I can start writing and/or drawing...

For now, I think I'll do some exploring of NYC this weekend with a special friend ;)

UPDATE KIRIBANS

For the next MAJOR Kiriban, 150,000 hits, I will do a 2-character sketch, which the usual "rules" apply:

The idea is simple – get a screen capture of my (whole) main page, showing the proper page views and either send me a DA Note with the image attached or post it to your own page (sending me a link of the image). First come, first serve… I will wait to see the “time stamp” of each of the entries sent to determine the winner…

Beyond that, not too much else, except a lot of contemplation, especially of my future, in several different fields.....

Until the next post - enjoy the art and leave some love (positive comments) ;)

DOODLES

While no "major" piece looms on the horizon and clear of commissions, I did some quick doodles (hence the lined/Steno paper). Currently, the only piece that is currently "due" is the 3M March piece (as well as planning on the June piece), yet, I will get to those pieces in due time... Also, a nice key note - these "Doodles" are typically what I'd do with an "Art Request" (somewhere around that level of detail, give or take). Only if I personally feel like it, I might ink it better and/or color it ;)

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

While this was a nice action movie, with plenty of action as well as the unusual post-apocalyptic characters, the "loose story/plot-line" needed some work, for there where too many unanswered questions as well as a variety of items which really didn't have a clear explanation. While I don't want to provide any "spoilers" or such, I will say something about Charlize Theron (Imperator Furiosa) really was quite an interesting character within this movie, and Tom Hardy (Mad Max) was a decent Mad Max ;)

SIDE STUFF

While Work is a bit on an even plateau, I'm investing a bit more time into some other items. Some of these items include helping my Mom with some photo-editing of my Dad's old pictures (primary enlargement & some clean-up), some basic chores (some stuff around the house), going hiking & some other physical activity, and planning on some possible Convention goings. I know there are a few different events being planned (locally) via the Yonkers Comics Shop, The Spider's Web.

With some of the more Creative pursuits, well, those tend to come in waves, and sometimes, I just want to hear other people's ideas to spark some drawing inspiration. At times, I just want to hear some nice ideas (stuff that would suit me) and just pound out some pieces without having to think them out too much...

Anyways, until the next posting :)

Long time no see!

FCD

This weekend was FCD aka Free Comics Day (first Saturday of May) where one can get FREE comics at the local (participating) Comics Shops near you, as well as meet local artists/talent, enjoy some nice sales within the stores, as well as other stuff (like drinks & cupcakes, which were offered by Paul of the Spider's Web in Yonkers, NY). For me, I traveled from Comics Shop to Comics Shop, picking up FREE comics, and chatting with people, as well as just driving around. 25 comics total! Yet, the highlight came at the Spider's web, where the owner (as well as other people & kids with the store) enjoyed seeing my artwork - especially the Deathstroke piece (can still hear the kids saying "THAT'S SLADE, right?!"). Really a nice feeling to have that effect on people with my cartoony art - I just got lucky to have had some time to do some new pieces...

BUSY

Well, over the last few months, I've been busy with the real life stuff - work, home, travelling, among other things. Each of those things had me tired & drained, and the heat of the upcoming summer weather just had me tired. While everything is fine & well, I just simply been "under the radar", and trying to get back on track with some of the art - I know I'm delayed on the 3M pieces, yet, do have 1 in the works NOW! (albeit the April piece). Hopefully, with this weather, work will settle down a bit as well as I'll have a bit more time & energy to pound out some more new pieces.

Some potential pieces I have lined up - Marvel's Silk, more 3M pieces (March, April, & May), and perhaps some Avengers-oriented stuff. We'll see what will happen there...

ULTRON

While the movie (Avengers: Age of Ultron) is a major hit, especially in the ACTION department (they don't disappoint there), there were a few points I was not that content with, especially Scarlet Witch. Being a fan of the character, both in appearance & powers, Elizabeth Olsen was satisfactory, but not great, as the other characters were. While they changed her powers to more "mental manipulation" rather than her "warping" ability (I guess to suit the weak plot line - another point of discontent). For me, she didn't sell me on Wanda Maximoff. Her brother, Pietro (aka Quicksilver), was case differently, tho it sort of worked for me. While a good movie overall (and probably even better sales), I thought the movie was not as good as the first Avengers movie, YET, still better than a lot of the other sequels (like Thor 2) or derivative movies, which are quasi-sequels (like Electra). Probably a nice 8.5/10 as a rating :P

A special note: Thanks to the people at the Spider's Web - being there made my day (as well as managed to get the most comics there!)

Kiriban Note: Tho a bit disppointed no one got any of the kiribans (especially the 125K), yet the next one will be - 135,790 - for which the reward will be 2 character sketch!

Other Note: From Free Comics Day, I'm looking for the issue of Avatar: The Last Airbender from Dark Horse (which also has a story featuring Bandette). If I can get scans of that comic or the original issue, I will offer a 1 character sketch as a reward ;)   The reference: www.freecomicbookday.com/Home/…

Anyways, that's all for now - enjoy the art and come back soon for new art (hopefully sooner than later)!

Hiyas Peoples!

Finally managed to post a variety of stuff - some photo manipulations (multiples in turtleneck sweaters, from a few different sources) and some regular artwork (a commission, an art request, and an art exchange). The manips (manipulations) were "in waiting", for i wanted to post them a week or so ago, but somehow kept being pushed back - I really enjoyed doing them (got to keep the Photoshop skills strong). With the Art, I've been doing some juggling - making sure to insert some art exchanges/trades/requests in with the commissions, just to make things more flowing... I just hope you all enjoy it! Only bit I feel bad about it the delayed postings (still need to update the Facebook page too - tho will get to that later)

MARCH

With the GREEN month of March, I hope to have the next 3M Triplets / TS Mascots piece up then, and with another set of multiples, and will probably poll the next set of twins (albeit, I already have the April set of twins already figured out - tho the polls might move them up...). I plan on a few more pieces (mixing in a lot of original pieces, with art requests/trades/etc...), which should be interesting, which also would be featuring a potential new character as well... stay tuned! Hopefully, some "different" pieces will pop up on here soon :D

BUSY

With this upcoming month, a lot of things are happening (in real life), which will probably screw up the postings - a christening, another trip, and a 24-hour comic challenge (each on different weekends). Furthermore, I've got to tend to an injured relative - my Mom badly hurt her ankle (twisted ankle with some other bits), so, I also have to be vigilant on my parents' care. Just have to plan a lot of things out and see what works best, thus, fitting everything in! My aim right now, is to get about 4 pieces done prior to St. Patrick's Day, thus covering certain obligations, which will be done sooner than later... I hope... We'll see...

ALMOST KIRIBANS

A few kiribans are coming up, and its potential for new (FREE) art - some of these pieces can be upgraded (via commissioning or by winning another kiriban). Yet, they are quickly approaching, and a nice chance to get some art :D

HAPPY VD

My first post of February - and wanted to wish everyone a Happy VD (Happy Valentine's Day)! While it's a couple's (romantic) holiday, it should be spent with people you care about and have fun!

COMMISSIONS

Having wrapped up some commissions, I'm OPEN for new commissions! While Art Requests are pending (not a priority), there's always room for more commissions!

Beyond that, I am thinking of enjoying a Maslenitsa or 2 (via dinner parties) and seeing how things turn out... being single leaves a lot (lonely & sad single) options of availabilty for things like this...

FEBRUARY

Trying to keep on my artwork, tho "real life" does have a habit of getting in the way - thus, the delay with the January piece. With my self-imposed deadline for February, I want the next 3M piece to be done before the 14th! (actually Friday the 13th!!!) Yet, i think its do-able - tho the question is which set of twins is in 2nd place, when there's a tie? Well, another poll will decide that one ;)

Also planning on heading down to DC for some "blini" (special potato pancakes, tho tends to be a special full-week event) ;)

RE-ORGANIZING

I'm thinking I do need some help organizing my stuff - especially if i want to get my other projects out there. I think I need some editor to hep coordinate some pieces, so I have time to get to everything! While I do have commissions lined up (thanks for them), I still also need to have my own stuff going too  ;)

Hiyas Peoples!

I’m going to be trying to work on a few things “in parallel”…  What do I mean? Well, there’s going to be several pieces “juggled” art-wise, for which some will be posted and some will not - namely, some of the “portfolio”/back-burner type of pieces, which will be sets to be sold later (I have 2-3 different sets in mind). I might post a “teaser” piece (per set), thus give people an idea of what it’s about…

It also has me pondering the comic idea again – tho I’m needing an editor/writer to aid in that endeavor… (Note me if interested)

HOLIDAY PIECES

With this year, I think the 3M Triplets’ Monthly/Holiday Pieces should feature other people in it, whether other multiples, other characters/people (non-multiples), with or without the TS (turtleneck sweaters). Every other month a poll will be posted and the top 2 slots will be selected. For example, the January Poll #1 & #2 slots (winners) will be the ones who join the 3M Triplets in January (#1 slot winner) & in February (#2 slot winner). These pieces will be geared more towards “fluff” (slice of life type of pieces), and not really planning or repeating the same “winners” of these polls...

In the comments, please comment on what you would like to see them (3M Triplets & the slot winners) doing … Keep in mind that the action has to pertain to that month/holidays within – something more G or PG-rated ;)

OTHERWISE

Not too much else going on… Just the usual fun of work, sleep, and art ;)  - Since I'm working on some involved pieces at the moment, NO ART THIS WEEK, yet, I will be posting some reference pieces (monsters), which are just some pieces I enjoyed, whether by powers, art, or some other mix! Keep in mind: THEY ARE NOT MY PIECES (from Monster Encyclopedia) :)
